Although Content Management systems are "engines," you can't start driving to the internet right out of the box. Coupled with
Keybrick Services, these CM options can be the effective foundation for your next website.

Content Management Systems are the "engines" behind the Web 2.0 internet transformation. For a very basic definition, CM systems store website content (text, documents, images, etc.) in database tables, rather than in HTML pages. The "engine" will then dynamically render web pages for users based upon their request, according to a set of programs and definitions for display.

Why is this better than the "old" way of doing things?

  • Easy Maintenance: it is much easier to maintain information when it is stored in a standardized format such as a database. Routines can be run to change data across the board, and import/export of content is a breeze. Typeface formatting and page layout are controlled at a single point, so tasks such as changing typeface and corporate logos take seconds instead of days.
  • User Control: CM systems allow users to edit their content directly through the browser, usually directly "into" the web page. Users can see their content, layout, and publish the same with just a few clicks. Gone are the days when the simple act of changing a few words on a Homepage required an act of Congress.

Dot Net Nuke CMS

Keybrick is pleased to offer Dot Net Nuke (DNN) content management solutions to our array of supported technologies.

DNN is a system designed to deliver powerful content managment functionality built on top of the Microsoft .Net framework.

Websites are "portals" within the framework, and they consume various "modules" to provide features and function. DNN relies on open-source contributors, which means the environment is always improving to meet the needs of its growing community of users. This website, www.keybrick.com, is built on a DNN portal.
